Well, it might. I certainly don't want to insult people afflicted with mental illnesses. But the library was within a few blocks of multiple homeless shelters and working with the mentally ill on a daily basis was a major challenge of working there. Saying that I just worked in a library doesn't accurately describe the unique difficulties of the patron base of that particular library.
But the anecdote was meant to accentuate the comic. Maybe it veered off-topic. I don't think I've ever been in the precisely same parenting situation that the comic describes. Let me see if I can reword the post.
I first wrote the title of this post as something like "Tractor Pulls out a Truck That Got Stuck in the Mud While Trying to Pull out a Truck That Got Stuck in the Mud While Trying to Pull out a Truck That Got Stuck in the Mud While Trying to Pull out a Truck That Got Stuck in the Mud." I checked carefully to make sure that it numerically correct. But the system wouldn't let me publish a title that long, which is probably a good thing.
