Penn and Teller long ago had an episode where they debunked the entire recycling program. Long story short - when you calculated all the logistics (and everything else you had to pay for), it would've been more efficient to not start the program at all. :)

I'm no starwars superfan, but I always liked R2D2. I totally approve of this.
My uncle had a R2D2 cookie jar when we were kids, and I think he gave it to my older bro.

the more "free" you are, you're moving away from truth and reality
in reality, everyone and everything around you is part of a feedback loop
when you touch a hot stove, you get burned
when you walk out in public nude, society punishes you for it
places that claim they have "free speech" have advanced militaries and a complex system of laws and nuances just to defend its free speech
because nothing is free, the word free is a non-word - it doesn't exist
if you want to get through this life in one piece, the happiest, accept the natural slavery of the universe
help people around you - take care of yourself - and render unto ceasar what is ceasars

20 to 100 million sperm die each time a person attempts to make a child
99.9% of all organisms that have ever lived are now extinct
In roughly half a billion years (500 million), experts believe the oceans will boil.

When people talk about life having "meaning", I wonder what they mean. I don't even mean that in a negative way - I'm suggesting that life isn't about some superficial meaning. It's about action. It's about right now. Right now is all we have. Your action, in the right now.

I agree with all 5 of those life skills, and I've seen many people lacking in 1 or many. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but (as a person who's worked for 25 years) I can tell you determinism plays a bigger role than people want to admit. People really don't change that much over the course of their life. I've watched many employees over a 1/5/10 year period. It's not a bad thing though - the good people don't change either. If we lived in a world where people constantly changed (as people tend to believe they do), everything would be chaos.
