The substance in the bucket is grease. I used to work at a BK and we had a bucket for patties that had expired and needed to be thrown out. To keep inventory, we kept them in a reused pickle bucket and counted them at the end of the shift.

The Cavaliers are not a marching band, they are a drum and bugle core. Marching band includes woodwinds while drum and bugle core is only percussion and brass.
