Buddhabrot.

Alex

In 1993, Melinda Green discovered a new way to render a Mandelbrot fractal. This was later named the Buddhabrot, for its resemblance to Buddha (do you see it?).

Winter's coming - so keep your head warm with Klein bottle knit hat with matching Mobius Scarf made by Acme. Link

What's a Klein bottle? Why it's a zero-volume one-sided bottle, where its inside is its outside. Confused? Me too.

Victor Safonkin's Contemplation of Summer Moon.

Victor Safonkin is a prolific artist, whose "European classic surrealism & symbolism" style is definitely unique. Hundreds of his artwork are here: Link

Matt Trewe's Knitted Digestive System.

Alex

Matie Trewe knitted the entire digestive system of man.

From the website:

"Q. What on earth compelled you to knit the human digestive system?

A. The tube is one of the most basic structures of multicellular life and of knitting. It seemed like a great way to combine my two fascinations."

Now That's a Tree House!

Alex

If you have a lot of dough, the TreeHouse company can build you one super awesome tree house.

This one's called the Falcon Project. From the website:

"At the end of a long driveway in the grounds of a grand Scottish estate in Fife, stands a 500-year-old cedar tree. After suffering a severe lightning strike that destroyed the largest of the tree limbs, it looked a sorry sight next to the magnificent copper beech that guards the gateway to the grounds.

Our client's brief was to fill the gap left by the missing cedar tree trunk with a fantasy TreeHouse for his children and to create a TreeDeck under the shelter of the Copper Beech canopy for the adults, so they could relax or entertain while watching the children play. "

The Moon Landing is a Hoax - Here's the Proof.

Alex

From the website:

"If we look a bit more closely, we spot the constellationof Pegasus with the planet Saturn (marked S1) clearly visible in the top left corner. Yet at the time of the mission, although Saturn appeared to be near Pegasus from Earth, from the Moon it would have appeared to be in a completely different position (marked S2).

It is almost insulting to think that NASA could get away with this obvious howler!"

So obvious! Why didn't anyone spot these sooner? Link

Location Earth Tags.

Alex

These are Location Earth Tags. From the website:

"In case of alien abduction these dog tags may save your life. The crucial data an alien will need to get you back to Earth is die stamped into these dog tags."

They even have a money back guarantee:

"Should you ever be abducted by aliens while wearing Location Dog Tag and not returned safely to Earth you will be entitled to a full refund of the purchase price"

For real. It's the perfect match for your tinfoil hat! Link

Is That a TV on the Moon?

Alex

No, not a TV. Turns out it's LEAM or Lunar Ejecta and Meteorites.

"Apollo 17 astronauts installed LEAM on the moon in 1972," explains Timothy Stubbs of the Solar System Exploration Division at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. "It was designed to look for dust kicked up by small meteoroids hitting the moon's surface."
