Who Will Win This Strange Match?

Alex

Via This is The Internet

Okay, okay. First, I apologize for the NSWF typo in the text, but it's just too funny not to post.

Notice that it's "48-in-1" DVD. What does that even mean? There are 48 movies in that disc? (the one below it is even more impressive - 60-in-1!) Why, that's even MORE remarkable than the match between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Sean Connery.

So, who do you think will win? My money is on Sean Connery, because didn't he already take on the Rock and win?

Who is Better: Thor or Loki?

Alex

If you live in the United States, you've probably seen the cute "It's Not Complicated" commercials by AT&T featuring comedy group Good Neighbor's Beck Bennett (@becbenit) interviewing kids. In the ad spots, the straight guy Bennett asks kids which things are (obviously) better. Like this "Puppy Brother" one, for example:

... or this "Pickle Roll" one:

The folks over at Comedy Central decided to spoof the ads ... with Loki! Watch it over at Entertainment Weekly:

I'd say Tom Hiddleston nailed it!

Hammock Bathtub Lets You Soak and Lounge at the Same Time

Alex

Soak in a tub or lounge in a hammock? Now you don't have to choose - you can do both with the Vessel Hammock Bathtub by UK design company SplinterWorks.

The hanging bathtub, made from strong yet light carbon fiber, is suspended from the walls and does not touch the floor. Though it does not swing, the tub looks like it makes soaking in the bath so much more relaxing!

See, There Is Blue Sky in Beijing!

Alex

Image: Feng Li/Getty Images - via The Atlantic and reddit

We've covered the story of how insane air pollution is in Beijing, China, before on Neatorama but who says that there's no blue skies there?

Photographer Feng Li took this photo of a giant screen projecting the image of blue skies in the gray and smoggy Tiananmen Square during a time of dangerous levels of air pollution back in January 2013. It looks quite like a dystopian city of the future, straight out of a sci-fi novel.

Alan Taylor of The Atlantic's In Focus has a series of 31 photos illustrating how terrible air pollution can be in China, where at on point, air pollution level is 40 times the maximum recommended safety levels.

But don't worry, China, there is a way out (once you've tackled polluting industries and automotive exhausts). See how Los Angeles of the 1940s used to look like Beijing today.

Foam Clouds by Kohei Nawa

Alex

All images: kzsktt36/Flickr

Japanese artist Kohei Nawa's latest art installation looks like a dishwashing experiment gone wrong. The large billows of soap suds, titled "Foam" is actually the result of weeks of Nawa's experimentations with detergent, glycerin, and water to create foam sculptures stiff enough to hold their cloud-like shapes.

Best of all, visitors are allowed to walk through the gymnasium-sized installation space, filled with ever-evolving foam shapes that, as Nawa himself said, "should feel like you're walking through clouds."

Take a look:

Overflow Bathtubs by Kasch

Alex

Remember when your mom got mad at you for letting the water overflow in the bathtub? Not with these tubs! These are overflow bathtubs by German manufacturer Kasch, which as their names suggests, are designed to overflow their rims. They have a surrounding outer ring that captures the water as it overflows and recirculates it back to the tub.

Which is the Real Khal Drogo?

Alex

Image: (Left) HBO; (Right) Kenneth Pfeifer Photography

Will the real Khal Drogo stand up? Blizzard Entertainment employee René Koiter dressed up as Khal Drogo from HBO's hit series Game of Thrones - he looks just as good as the real Khal Drogo (played by actor Jason Momoa). Can you tell who is who? A wrong answer will unleash the bloodriders and spill your blood.

Interacting with Babies

Alex

Add a diaper failure and spit ups then you've nailed it, Sarah!

Cartoonist Sarah Andersen of Doodle Time (previously on Neatorama) illustrates in five panels what most single adults think or feel interacting with babies would be like.

There is, of course, a perfectly reasonable explanation to why babies cry when some grownups hold them.

Rob the Balloon Guy

Alex

"Bad jokes. Awkward dancing. Amazing balloons," Rob the Balloon Guy's website promises. But please, no robbery - that'll just make him feel deflated.

Rob the Balloon Guy has got the best tagline in the long and twisted history of entertaining people with balloons. Redditor matlockga shares his clever business card, which astute Neatoramanauts will notice can be greatly improved with an Oxford comma. Or not. Because, you know, humor trumps clarity any day, especially when it comes to balloons and eating grandpa. So don't pop Rob the Balloon Guy's lack of punctuation, mmkay?

Kub Basin by Victor Vasilev: Optical Illusion or Bathroom Sink?

Alex

Optical illusion or bathroom sink? You'd be forgiven if you thought that this ultramodern bathroom basin isn't real. Victor Vasilev, a Milan-based architect, designed this minimalist bathroom sink out of carrara marble, glass, faucet and fittings and nothing else.
