I'm a little bit alarmed to see that my "peak alertness" time is just before I get up. But for me, it's definitely a case of if I'm awake, it's time for a coffee.

I love the reference interview! It's the most useful thing I learned in my library technician studies, and it's by far the most useful skill when it comes to moving into another field. No matter where you go, the world is full of people who don't know how to say what they really want. Knowing how to figure out what they're asking and what questions to ask along the way is priceless.

I thought one of them would ride to Grandmas, drop of the food and ride back to pick up the other one who could get a double by then because the food was gone. :)

I really don't like things like this where they confront the bully with a large group of people and a video camera, because I really think it's getting very close to being an act of bullying itself. If we want to stop bullying, we need to teach kids a better way than "I'll get you back worse". I'm totally with Jonnette, the principal should have deal with it before it got to this stage. I know there's no easy solution, but I think this is a really bad approach

Neat! My mind is blown that somewhere other than Brazil is first for Brazil nuts. Also, does are Sudan & Syria not first at anything? I'm certain Belgium is only #1 at Relaxing because of all that delicious chocolate, and I think there's quite a few cricket playing countries who'd disagree that Australia is #1.

Oh dear! I can see my cat figuring out that one day. Luckily *touch wood* all my doorknobs are much higher than he can reach.

I have found him sitting on the laundry basket trying to turn the key to the cupboard where the food is stored and trying to figure out how to open & close the cat carrier. Not to mention that he's figured out how to open the windows if they're not fully latched, and he's more than happy to go through the window screens if they don't pop out when he gives them a shove. Worst of all, he's not even slightly ashamed when I catch him in the act.

My excuse is that I like chocolate, and cake, and I really LOVE chocolate cake. But seriously, while I understand what she means, I do agree she could have been a little more tactful about it if it was going to be taken off fitness blogs. On the other hand, just because you disagree with something doesn't make it wrong and I think that whoever started this "fat-shaming bully" issue is probably someone who should put down the donuts & take a walk around the block. I really think the picture and the slogan aren't that bad in context of the website they were published on. It's like going to a porn site and complaining about objectification.

This is one of those videos that make me go "wow! I wish I could have a go at that", safe in the knowledge that I'm never going to be in a position where I might actually have to do it.

I think the final image looks like a "that guy"* from 80's TV.

*You know "that guy" you recognize them from their minor or guest starring roles in pretty much every single series and occasional ad, but you never actually know their name.
