Wow! They are amazing - that guy is super talented. I'd really love to know whether he plans the whole thing out before he starts, or just starts and sees where it ends up.
I'll be interested to see if this actually does help. I think pretty much every country is fighting some sort of war on drugs and punishment is clearly not working. I doubt that decriminalisation would be much more successful and it brings issues of where to draw the line. If there's a chance that community intervention does actually make a difference then it's definitely worth trying.
I try to stick to a policy of either being direct and politely confronting people who are doing things that I don't like... "Would you mind not blowing smoke in my face?" or "Can you turn the music down please?" And all the times I don't have the balls to say anything - then I just have to deal with it.
That said, I have been known to join in loud conversations on the train (and people do talk louder on the phone than in face to face conversations). I mean, if they're sitting next to me and yelling their side of the conversation into my ear - I feel a right to express my opinion.
It sounds like a great idea! I agree that the conservation message might be a bit harder to get across, but just having the artworks instead of plain water towers is wonderful
There's a program running in a couple of cities in Australia, (Brisbane & Melbourne) to paint Traffic Signal Boxes. So rather than have a large ugly grey box at any set of Traffic Lights, there's a colourful bit of art.
That's amazing! I'd probably be very worried about the stability of the house. Or about accidentally setting the rumble detector off if I had a fat day :)
I don't know that I want to know the details of what went into my sausages, or hotdogs or pies. Knowing that my bacon came from a pig doesn't worry me at all.
I don't like the table service idea at all (sorry John), only because I don't like the idea of the added delay on my meal. As a general rule, my hungry tends to be a bit too urgent for that!

Turns out I guessed 3 of them correctly and the ones I got wrong were the ones I was sure I knew.
