R2-D2 Vespa

Don't underestimate that little scooter. He's saved the rebellion more than once. Morgan, a Geekologie reader, rides this glorious Vespa:

This was done with adhesive vinyl, some meticulous cutting and a 12-pack of beer. It gets a lot of looks and thumbs up, and often times while I am sitting at a stop light someone crossing the street will pause to take notice. The rear trunk is a real vintage piece and I removed the original faded travel stickers and replaced them with various retro style Star Wars art and posters that I found on the internet.

Evolving Name

So guys, I have lied to you. Brody is not my real name. Like Rob up there, Brody is only a shortened version of my legal name. My real name is, wait for it- Broderick. I am sure at some point I will evolve into a Broderick, maybe even a Rick or a Derrick - probably not, but who knows what the future holds. Right now though, I am still enjoying Brody and plan on it for a while.

Rare Animated Stereoviews of Geishas in the 1800s

Japanese photographer Nobukuni Enami took stereoscopic photographs of 19th-century Geisha, which were hand-colored and shown by viewing a different photo with the left and right eye.

Because it’s unlikely that you’ve got your own vintage stereoscopic viewer lying around, many of these images are animated GIFS that photographer Guy Thiophene has created to give you an idea of what they would have looked like in 3D. Thiophene converted the images into GIFS from stereo images found in the extensive collection of Rob Oechsle (known on Flickr as Okinawa Soba), who has been collecting the photographs since 1973.

See a collection of these pictures, and learn more about Geisha at Environmental Graffiti. Link
