Concur with the above poster. I got a lot of nice Jazz LP's back in the day and ended up paying a lot less than if I had purchased them separately in a record store. I recently gave them away to my son in law. One of them was Brubeck Does Disney. Cool.
There's a landowner down the road from us that keeps a herd of goats on some prime commercial/residential land. Pays low taxes on agricultural property. He's sitting on a "gold mine" of course, and some day will probably sell it for huge $$$.
I have a case of cassette tapes and nothing to play them. Years ago it was 8 tracks. More recently I have quite a few CD's, many compilations I burned myself. Now I just listen to XM radio in my car. Tempus fugit.
Reminds me of a summer where I was Maintenance Director at a Boy Scout camp and one of my duties was to set up a campfire for the end of each two week camping session. I tried to make them memorable. My favorite was a lakeside campfire. Had the Archery Director and another counselor dressed up as Indians, paddle a canoe down to the campfire side and lit the campfire with a flaming arrow. Epic.
I believe that some casino's slots have better pay out than others. I actually have won a few $$ at the Bellagio in Vegas, but never win at the nearest casino here in SW FL.
Funniest ever---Newhart. Where Bob wakes up in bed with Suzanne Pleshette and tells her about the nightmare he had as the owner of a Vermont Inn. Coolest ending was St.Elsewhere. Kafka anyone ?
I had a cat, well he lived with us, that had a bad habit of taking a nap in the street. We lived on a street that was normally only used by the folks who lived there. They would drive around him, maybe out of respect that he had rid the neighborhood of all vermin. When I was off to college I got the bad news that he got hit. My uncle found him and took him to the vets, but it was too late.
