No, not bodice-rippers. "Hook & Jill" is literary fiction, a serious parody of the Peter Pan story, questioning the premise: is it really desirable to remain a child, or is it a greater adventure, after all, to grow up? "Other Oceans: Book Two of the Hook & Jill Saga" is also literary fiction. It takes place on the high seas on the pirate ship, continuing the story with J.M. Barrie's characters and some of my own. These novels are the first two books of the "Hook & Jill" Saga, and have won a dozen awards between them for the writing and the cover designs. I'm grateful to J.M. Barrie for his wonderful gift of the Neverland -- 109 years old and counting. It's the story that will never grow old, like Peter himself! www.HookandJill.com and Facebook.com/HookJill.

As the author of "Hook & Jill," a serious parody of the original Peter Pan story, intended for adults, I've researched Barrie's life. I find several points in this article with which to disagree. J.M. Barrie was a complicated and fascinating man; he was not a monster. "Miss Cellania" (nice play on words there) has presented several inaccuracies as facts, and introduced personal opinions as truth. I refer interested readers to "J.M. Barrie and the Lost Boys" by Andrew Birkin for a factual history of Barrie's life, and for documented opinions of the boys he raised to manhood.
