Using this graph to say that older generations aren't using social networking is the same as saying younger generations aren't using them, which is obviously false. It's an average--thus, young and old cancel out and you end up somewhere in the middle. This graph is worthless.
The "kicking" could be innocent. Have you never used your foot to shove away an annoying cat? Not much force behind it. I haven't seen the "complete" video, I'm just offering an alternative story to automatically assuming he's a cat kicker (which would be dumb, since he knows his car records video).
Why does PETA constantly think that they can ignore the law in the name of "the greater good"? I don't care what they are accomplishing; if they can't do it legally, they need to find another way. This is pathetic. Just get permission first, is that so hard?
This is an awesome idea! I'd also like to see a video. Although Johnny Cat's comment (or quoted comment) is probably true. Not necessarily stolen, but definitely poorly maintained. Although you could use them in apartment complexes and such where they are privately maintained.
Let's say I live in da Vinci's time and am an aspiring painter that greatly admires da Vinci's work. In fact, my own frequently resembles his due to my admiration. I get a meeting with him one day and show him my work. He holds it, gives me advice, and goes about his life.
Hundreds of years later my painting is found with his fingerprint on it. That makes it his?? I don't think so.
You can't just expect people whose entire lives have been built around dairy farming to sell all their cows and grow corn. Or raise beef cows. They have millions of dollars invested in their dairy facilities, and they certainly wouldn't make any of that money back by overrunning the market with the low-grade beef that comes from retired dairy cows. So if you suggest they switch to producing something else, they'll need stimulus money to make that happen. And that probably doesn't make you happy either.
EDB: they didn't give them HIV. As Alex suggested, the article tested a group of 16,000 individuals considered at risk. Kevin: I'm sure they warned them that it wouldn't grant immunity. They were testing two drugs that had previously shown no immunity, so even the people who didn't get placebo couldn't assume that they were immune.
On a side note, I'm very proud of the media in general for not reacting by saying "HIV CURED!!!" or some other inappropriate extrapolation.

(because that's all PETA is, one giant troll.)
