This is actually Einstein's eclectic, albiet thought provoking, thinking cap. This ill fated bucket was worn when Einstein had a relatively suden realization of relative theory. So sudden in fact that the impact of the thought shot his cranium into the thinking cap causing this dent. Thank goodness for his hair or else we would have had to wait for him to regain consciousness before trying to remember said thought and writing it down.

And since I cannot read an entire post before getting excited and posting an answer, I will once again select the Unicorn Poop in a doubly extra large size. If you so deem my answer to be the most giggle inducing.

It's a fire bucket. The purpose of the domed bottom is so that it really cannot be used for any other purpose than being hung from it's proper hanger and filled with its proper fire fighting medium.
