Reply to Omninegro, We are what we are because of the choice made in the garden of Eden by our ancestors. Their disobediance (sin) separated them (and us) from God. However He (God) loves you (and me) so much that He has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him. Jesus said: I am The way, The Truth, and, The Life...No one comes to The Father except through Me. Regardless of what caused our "fallen state" we are all guilty of sin and worthy of death, but, Jesus died in your (and my) place. It is now our choice to accept (or deny) the free gift of Eternal life that He offers everyone.
