As a devout Christian, I have to say (and forgive me if this is already in the comments) that the Rapture - which is where all believers in Christ are taken out of the world and up to Heaven - happens first. That is what sparks the Tribulation, a seven year period in which the Antichrist (the great deceiver) takes control of the world. The Antichrist has control and eventually the world will almost destroy itself, until Jesus comes back ("The Second Coming"), and takes control of the world. After this comes Judgement before God and all of the people who do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Lord of the Earth will (read) GO TO HELL!!!
Jesus said (in John 4:16) "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." This means that if you do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God, you WILL NOT enter the Kingdom of God!!! (you go to Hell)
Sorry if this story doesn't coincide with your belief of how the world will end...I am not trying to appease anyone, I am simply telling you all the truth...

With all that is going on in the world today, it seems that all of the events that are foretold in the Bible (specifically, the book of Revelation) are already being set in motion, and I personally believe that the Antichrist is already alive and on the Earth right now, but he will not be revealed or take power until AFTER the Rapture.
So in the event that Christians everywhere start mysteriously vanishing, REPENT AND TRUST IN JESUS!!!

I read above that some of you think that only 144,000 people go to Heaven. FALSE!!!
When the Rapture happens, ALL CHRISTIANS will be taken out of the world, out of harm. The 144,000 are ones that are martyrs for Christ during the Tribulation (12000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel, not the Israel of today, but the Biblical Israel)
This does not mean that only 144,000 people will go to Heaven. Why would God only allow 144,000 out of trillions of souls go to Heaven?!?!
And anyway, that should not concern you. All you need to know is that the world is going to end, and if you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus, you are going to Hell.
Hell is a real place, but you do not have to believe in it to go there!!!
Please, if you have any questions, go talk to a Pastor or someone at your local Church (Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, etc.).
