This is actually a device that is still in circulated use. The large enclosure goes around the torso of any average pond duck, while the neck and head are slipped through the smaller enclosure. Once secured and immobilized, the duck is then tossed back into the pond. If it floats, then the duck is obviously the Wereduck that came out last night and ate all of the tomatoes off the bushes that took you nearly 6 hours to plant out in the hot summer sun and during which time you developed very many blisters from badly mishandling a shovel that noone ever took the time to even teach you how to use.
