It looks like one thing got overlooked in the research for the article: The Ultimates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimates). The Ultimates was the reboot version of the Avengers Marvel did 10 years ago or so. In the comic it's the team we see in the movie except they also have Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch on board. It is also where the idea of an African-American Nick Fury came about (based on Jackson even), as all previous incarnations of him had been a middle aged white man. Furthermore the armor we see Thor wearing is his Ultimates model armor, rather than his more traditional garb.

From the few spoilers I've seen, they actually follow the Ultimates storyline fairly decently in the movie as well. So while the whole thing doesn't stack up to the classic Avengers story, it's a good take on the Ultimates version which was a good series in and of itself.

SSU is a rather...interesting school =P The statue is actually of bacon and eggs...there's a fried egg at the base of the statue not depicted in the picture.

Oh and they coffee/snack shop in that courtyard is named "toast" to stick with the theme there...they're pretty proud of their random bacon and eggs sculpture.

there's so many classic jokes from the Jungle cruise in Disneyland....some of my personal favorites:

The bengal tiger, when fully grown, can jump up to 25,000 feet! Once. Out of an airplane.

(in the "nile" river)
On the left we have an African Bull Elephant, the second most feared creature in the jungle!
On the right, the most feared creature in the jungle, his mother inlaw (another elephant)

(when going behind the waterfall)
And now the thing you've all been waiting for, the reason you all came here today....
THE FRONT SIDE OF A ROCK!

Whats that? backside of water? psshaw! we all came for the rock!

(at the end of the ride)
Well who wants to ride again? I know I do. And Again, and again, and again....

And finally, one last joke for all you psychics out there...
