I am also Lauren Elizabeth Lytle's aunt. In my opinion, both Laurens are beautiful. It is unfortunate that Lauren C. Upton has suffered the embarrassment and humiliation of mis-speaking on stage in front of so many viewers. It is also unfair and incorrect to stereotype South Carolinians as uneducated, ignorant people. I think everyone should give this a rest.
As far as my Lauren is concerned, she is a beautiful, kind, intelligent, talented, poised, confident young lady who has strong Christian values. She has excellent public speaking skills and feels at ease on any stage in answering questions and responding to the judges. She feels honored to represent the Miss S.C./America Organization as Miss S.C. Teen 2007. Lauren Elizabeth Lytle, you are my girl!! Keep smiling!!!
