Not quite buying this as what's used are standard ties designed for light duty. Would like to see it done with the zip ties most police use as they're 2-3 times wider AND with one's hands zipped behind their back.

RC Cola was my #1 cola of choice for years. I made the switch to Diet Rite when I was having weight issues. But I'm in Maine, which I often refer to as "the end of the food chain." Diet Rite disappeared from the shelves a year or so ago (as has Peter Pan Crunchy Peanut Butter).

I remember well the cyclamates scare from the 60s. My absolute favorite 'pop' from back then - Gatorade. My parents stopped that cold turkey. Done. If I remember correctly, Gatorade died too and was off the shelf for a number of years.

I think this should be re-titled to I've got an unwarranted conspiracy theory. Enterprise had its poorly written stories - just as TOS and TNG - but overall it was great. John said it best above.

I've never seen a poorly written holodeck program, but there are more than a couple crappy holodeck stories. I've also never seen a holodeck program/story that didn't include one or more Enterprise crew members.

"Obviously there's this wild lunatic fringe of letter writers that greatly affect what the sponsor has in mind."

Social Media circa 1959. At least you had to work at it.

Serling’s WW II experience clarified a few things for me. If you have not seen the movie A Carol for Another Christmas, put it on your list:

IMDB - A Carol for Another Christmas

Wikipedia - A Carol for Another Christmas

It was on TNT a few weeks back. I’d never heard of it, but I watched because I like fantasies and Christmas angels. As it started and I saw 1) all the top stars in it and 2) teleplay by Rod Serling, I thought I might be in for a treat. And I was - I’d caught a classic.

Yes it’s preachy and dated, but taken in context with the times and Serling’s attitude it all makes sense. The movie and its back-story would make an interesting blog post.

Thank you ma'am (spose the USPS does too as an order has been placed). Might not have seen this otherwise. Christmas, Peanuts, and A Charlie Brown Christmas - these are a few of my my favorite things. :)

Moxie is awesome. My soda drink of choice. Funny how you described it as that's exactly how I felt about Vernors Ginger Ale - back in the 60s. It burnt your throat and bubbled into your nose; it was terrible. But I kept going back for more. That recipe has been seriously dumbed-down over the years and among all the regional varieties I've tried, I've yet to find anything close to the original experience.
