I love that the article breaks down what made those text-based games so mind-numbing as well. On the positive side, they taught me to type and spell when I was a wee child. On the downside, the mental breakdown I experienced trying to figure out what to do in Space Quest II when you're in the dark underground tunnel still gives me chills.

P.S. Come to think of it, I also experimented with swearing for the first time too.

First of all, lots of people think it's perfectly fine to kill other people. The Death Penalty, The President, or the Holocaust are all answers to 'why can't we kill people'. The answer being, you most certainly can. You'll just go to jail.

And as for the speed which people meet their end, I suppose that's personal. Last time I checked getting old was something everyone in America still lived in utter denial about.

Duh.

And yet, no matter how much you avoid second hand smoke, how many tofu burgers you eat, and no matter how many times you chide someone for smoking, we all still have to die. No...matter...what...you...do.

As long we're going with celebrity dysfunctions, I bet Michael Jackson and the Leprechaun from the 'Lucky Charms' ads have the same illness.

Is it just me or does saying, "I used to date my Yoga Instructor," not have the same appeal as "I used to date my Halo Coach." At least they coach them on headsets, the appeal might start to calm down when their metabolisms do.
