If asked how he would want his funeral, he probably would ask to have the hearse’s rear door fly open after it came to a screeching halt, rolling his coffin out and have it catapult his body onto the appetizer table with an apple stuck in his mouth. Not that would actually happen, but given his sense of humour that’s probably what he would have wanted.

That's amazing how we could have had that technology so soon. You have to wonder how technologically advanced we would be if inventions like this were never held back.

I'll have to disagree with you. Those that made their wealth on their own most likely were able to get where they are by reading people. Their children on the other hand which live off their parents wealth and status gain little on their own, and are developmentally stunted compared to many who had to struggle and adapt in life. Knowing to read people is a vital skill some people need just to make ends meet.

Same things goes with male slaves too, since they were there to service the wife while the viking husband was away. Concidering what I've read about Norse women, saying "Not tonight, I've got a headache", would usualy result in having a more painfull one.

Integrating slaves into the family was quite common with viking culture. While she probably became inducted as a concubine, either kidnapping or possibly out of a trade, they did become members of Norse society, just expected to work harder. Slaves were know to excel in social status unlike other cultures though, so I could believe how there would be recognised ethnic diversity in descendants.

@Twist

That's interesting that you mention that, since I've been dealing with something myself along those lines. I do agree that I would rather feel more connected with my consciousness, then feel even more disconnected from it then before.
