Depressions (hence the name) always have an impact on the happiness of a people. It's been known that the sales in alcohol and an increased rate of prostitution goes up as people feed their vices to keep themselves going during those times.

That reminds me of how it's like with the Mexican government withholding information about the actually numbers of those who died from the swine flu, or those who have died of malnutrition in North Korea. They are afraid what the people of other countries will think of them.

What he is trying to say is that it doesn't matter what his political stance is, what he read from this guys blog he agrees with. Are you just blowing this out of proportion for the sake of it (because I like doing that from time to time), or are you actually disturbed by this?

Discussing politics, religion or war in general gives a reason for blog commenters to be outraged at the drop of a hat. Your views are your own, but when discussing these topics you always have to expect someone to come out and point a finger at you yelling "You’re wrong"! I'll have to check out the rest of the info from the link later, my work's network is blocking it.

I can tell ya it'll take a long time (and some very bad situations) before the whole planet actually does come together like this, and I hardly thing the species as a whole is capable of it. Like many living things, humans at the root of things are tribal in nature and always looking to form an "Us vs. Them" mentality. We may have learned that the Sun doesn't revolve around he Earth, but a lot of us still think like it does. And about all this information about finding new possible planets to spread humanity to, once things get up and running both planets will try and figure out a way to go at war with each other. It's just the way it is.

I'm thinking that they both swing both ways, Etty looks like she's climbed mount bush a couple times in her life. As for Perry, it's pretty obvious.

I know that squirrels pull the fur off their young to add to the nest for bedding. A number of years ago I remember seeing a baby squirrel jumping around with a big bald spot on his head.

The original was a whole lot of multiplayer fun for me and my friends when we set up computer LANs or just 1 on 1 modem play. Reminds me of one time I was playing a death match against my friend and we had to call it quits, both of us turned to be in buildings opposite to each other with a courtyard in the middle so we both jumped out the window to see ourselves falling in synchronicity... so of course we start firing at each other. Good times.

All of Neatorama shouldn't be held accountable for the opinion of a poster who according to their blog at one time lived in Puerto Rico at one time in her life(Do Puerto Rican's have a thing against Argentinan's or something?). Saying that all of Neatorama (including it's readers?) should be ashamed is as generalized as the comment the original poster made in the first sentence.
