Are there any copyright violations? They're not profiting from the work, or claiming ownership of the sounds. I guess Microsoft could get the piece banned from Youtube, but I doubt the company could collect damages. When you think about the millions of places these sounds have appeared...

I'd like to see, just once, a negative sponsored review. Does the reviewer get paid if he doesn't like the book? Or does he return the money? Does Neatorama get any money? Does Neatorama even run negative reviews? Of course not. These sponsored reviews are B.S. They should run off to the right, with the other ads.

I appreciate the full disclosure, but I'm leery of sponsored reviews. It's an informercial, paid advertising, but with compensation only for the author and not the website, and camouflaged to look like a regular post. Neatorama would do well to avoid such posts.
