I'd say what they did wasn't so much to harass the police as to protest the lack of evidence that got the other kids kicked off their teams. I think it was pretty creative, though if it kept police from doing something more productive, I'd say it wasn't worth it. But it's likely that there wasn't anything at that exact moment that those police would actually have been accomplishing if they weren't there.
Either way, I want root beer.
