"Live Deep in the Ocean in Extremely Cold Temperatures"
The beauty is in the design. I think it's spectacular.
I also think we ought to ban dragging as a method of fishing worldwide. It completely ruins the sea floor.

On behalf of the Snub-Nosed Monkey World Wide Acceptance and UpLift Association, (SNMWWAULA) and all the Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys, Moupin Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys, Qinling Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys, Hubei Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys, Black Snub-nosed Monkeys, Gray Snub-nosed Monkeys and the Tonkin Snub-nosed Langur, I would like to take this opportunity to heap acrid scorn on the preceding article.
Scorn. Scorn. Scorn.
Furthermore, the Rhinopithecines in question would like it known that they find nothing quite as disgusting as all your big noses, your snot hankies and you constant sniffling every time you go out on winter days.
;) Bruno

Oh please. Using that logic, the first atomic bomb was also a "Defensive Weapon".
It got in the way of an entire nation of Japanese and killed them by basically ramming them at high speed. (and then exploding and irradiating the life out of them.)

Well isn't that ducky. The auto industry is tanking, real estate has tanked already, people are losing their jobs, life savings, retirement funds, there are problems with certain aspects of our planet's eco-system, and look what we have here....
A group of "Dedicated Scientists" bent on trying to figure out how to kill more people faster, more efficiently and therefore, cheaper.
Gosh it makes one proud.

"While I find this approach sort of dubious..."
I don't find it sort of dubious at all. I find it fair and square. The law requires probable cause and provides for "innocence until guilt is proven".
If those entrusted with enforcing our laws don't follow those laws themselves, not only are they not doing the jobs we as tax payers pay them for, but they are actively undermining the system they represent.
Police sloppiness, and police corruption can often look much the same to those watching.
The officers in charge should be disciplined. The public needs to see in real terms, that everyone, regardless of profession must follow the rules of the land.

Am I the only one who feels sorry for the exploited life form?
Wouldn't he or she be much happier out and about in the sea with his or her own kind?
Animals as amusement is the guiltiest pleasure isn't it?

This is what happens when a life's worth is measured in terms of what objects one owns. It is the face of greed.
The sad fact remains however, that the people who killed that poor soul, have been conditioned by the media to behave this way since birth. Consumer Pigs run rampant.

Is this "Thanksgiving Dinner" or "Let's see how much factory farmed animal misery we can pack into a single meal"?
The only ways I can thing of to improve on this gastronomic disaster, would be to pick up the ingredients at Walmart while driving your Hummer, then having your underpaid illegal immigrant Honduran maid cook the thing.
I feel Bah and Humbug coming on already!

Pity the "Mobile" homes weren't really all that mobile.
Good luck to you.
I'll be passing thru on the I-5 later this week, enroute from Canada to Vista.
Be Well.

This is nothing new for Canadians living on Vancouver Island. Several vessels in our car ferry fleet have not only been lengthened in this manner, but have also had an additional deck added vertically.

I'm green and not so green at the same time.
On the one hand I drive an extended cab f-250 diesel pickup truck, and on the other hand I bought it second hand, thus saving the planet the environmental costs of having a new one created. (Every new vehicle, hybrid or not comes with a large eco-price tag attached as a result of it's manufacture.)
I own and drive a Semi Truck for a living, yet it's one of the most fuel efficient and least polluting vehicles ever to do the job.
I try to buy things which will last over things which are more disposable, and avoid restaurants where the food is served wrapped in plastic or paper.
In the end though, the only way to be really green, is to buy nothing. Stay home, buy nothing. Be green. (Misers like Ebenezer Scrooge were very "green" indeed I guess.)
Everything else has some eco-effect.

Amuse the paying customers. It is after all, your sole reason for existence, the role we have given you.
Dance because we've associated obedience with food, disobedience with denial of same.
Dance little seals, dance.
Be grateful for your place in our underwater prison camp.
