Connecticut has a similar law on the books and many pet stores/breeders offer even more protection. It's so hard to actually sell a dog these days it's one of the only pulls they have left. (I know because I used to work at a pet store in CT)

I am beyond thrilled that Obamacare has not been repealed - without it I would not have health insurance. It is a flawed legislation I will grant you - it is not perfect - but it provides a foundation for further improvement. I firmly believe that 100 years from now our hard fought battles like this and gay right and perhaps even the crippling debt facing our nation's students will be quaint little struggles in history where the outcome seems a forgone conclusion then but here and now seems hopelessly bleak (no matter which side you're on).

That being said I'm sad to see a divisively political article posted here on Neatorama. This is not the blog for left and right, red and blue, with international kibitzers. If I wanted that I would go to a news blog/forum/news source. Stick to neat things, neatorama.

Also I would add The Captain and the Kids. It's a fun cartoon though I can't say I've even seen half of them and there's not that many. I always make sure to watch the christmas episode every december on my very worn VHS.

I have seen Smile darn ya smile before, though not in its entirety. The only character on this list I was completely unfamiliar with was flip the frog so that was interesting. I would add Sniffles the mouse to this list. I kinda always hated him but he was definitely an established character that no one seems to know, and especially not anyone in my generation.

as a CT native, I fail to see how the chicken parm represents my state. How is this person coming up with which sandwich for which state? I mean, sure you can find chicken parms in CT but I'm fairly certain other states have em too.

there's an authentic WWI tank sitting in my town center that kids love to play on, as I did when I was younger. You used to be able to wiggle under it and pop in where the controls were (welded together, of course) but that has since been covered up. Still though, driving by on any warm summer day you're bound to see small children dangling from the gun barrel. so awesome :)

I agree with RD - "If you can drive a car on your own at 16, you should be allowed to sit in it without adult supervision."

not that it was nice or considerate for the father to do that to his teenage son, but I feel that an arrest is an overreaction. It's not like he was tied up in there against his will on a hot day in the sun with no water, unable to leave the car.

also Dr. Hibbert is not the only african american in the series, nor would I even say the most regularly appearing - that title would of course go to carl carlson so if anyone is the "resident african american" in the simpsons it would be him. And there are smaller characters that are african american as well including dr. hibbert's wife, the occasional school child, and others.

.... did they really just figure that out? I was at a penguin enclosure at a zoo recently and I could tell just by looking that there were air bubbles coming off their feathers. perhaps the bubbles stick better on penguins rather than, let's say ducks, due to there natural oils from their skin. regardless - I would think that the bubbles being from their feathers was obvious to anyone with functional eyes that cared to pay attention to such details.

I agree with Gregg that the inclusion of jersey shore trash in the movie is disgusting, I am a huge sean hayes fan so I may end up seeing it. I haven't decided yet.

well Jon A, if I'm the next person then I guess you're probama. I believe he's trying to do what's best for this country and it's not his fault he has to deal with a curmudgeonly congress.
