That's kind of slanted information. The ships that are exporting are going to be running anyways. The majority of containers leaving Fiji, Hawaii, Tonga, etc.are all leaving empty. Simply because Fiji doesn't have much for export. A lot more goes in than comes out.
I still agree that it's not very cost effective (especially when you filter your own water like Chad).
I just question the factors behind the numbers and how unbiased the science can be coming from a website called "treehugger" can really be.

Soldiers don't drive like this unless there is a reason. It's not like these guys are just out for groceries and driving like this to get their ice cream home before it melts. When you're rushing to aide someone either with fire power or medical reasons this kind of driving makes sense. I used to work as an EMT and it's tough enough trying to get through traffic here in the U.S. let alone over there.

Bottom line don't be so quick to pass judgement when you only know a small portion of the story.
