I think the point is that fundamentalist muslims, as with fundamental christians, ACTUALLY BELIEVE what their books tell them! They are truly following their faith and anyone who claims to be moderate and the like is just cherry-picking from the holy book/s of their faith. Islam, as well as Christianity, is fundamentaly exlusive and power hungry. People need to knuckle down and start by reading these books of "love" and "peace" and realise that all they preach is violence and hate towards anyone who disagrees with its preachings.
