"Eons ago, a hydraulic genius designed the perfect instrument for receiving urine from the male organ with a minimum of mess and bother. I speak here of the lowly urinal..."

I have to disagree that the modern urinal is designed by a hydraulic genius. Broad flat porcelain surfaces with lots of potential for backsplash onto the user or floor. Big bowls full of catch water that will likewise cause splashback.

In comparison the steel cone type urinals in the first picture are brilliant (apart from the art and lack of privacy partitions). Any urine will hit the cone and reflect down the drain instead of back towards the user and there are no corners to disturb or feed the flow back on itself. Great design.

"Of course it was hollow. It was a two shot trick, which is why the first was hollow AND bigger"

Right, but the mythbusters were looking at splitting the arrow. They busted it because they couldn't get an exact split. The arrow would always deflect. Using a hollow arrow is cool, but not the same.

Tom Hanks also has a less famous brother named Jim who was working as a comic for a while.

As for Dane Cook's brother stealing from him, didn't Dane Cook steal most of his act from other people?

"Caplan says the bottom line is that nature — the kids’ genes — mostly determines who they’ll be; the power of nurture, he says, is minimal."

If that's the case then why is the largest statistical determiner of a child's performance, the salary of his parents?
