Early uneven bars were more like men's parallel bars. Modern uneven bars are much more like men's high bar. You can also see when they changed the apparatus spacing and setup in the 80s. The bars moves father apart so you can't do the same release moves.
I used to work at a men's clothing store that also sold and rents tuxedos. These included either a clip-on or real bowtie. Many people went with the real one because it was fancier. Then they showed up around lunch on the day of their wedding because they couldn't tie it.
I'm largely with babatumbe. You don't get to do endless stories about how cold weather/blizzards are not signs of global warming (and the news media does) and then do stories about how heat waves are signs of global warming (and they do). It smacks of intellectual dishonesty. The truth is that climate is a long term trend and individual peaks and valleys are only mildly related to it.
BTW what's the climatologists explanation for the current 15 year temperature plateau we're in? Their models definitely didn't see that coming ahead of time. Have they figured out what's wrong with them yet?
The reason grocery store tomatoes aren't as flavorful as garden grown is because most grocery store tomatoes aren't ripe. They're simply red. In order to get them to market, they're picked too early and then exposed to a ripening agent to get the proper color. This is nowhere near as good as vine ripening.
Also, you shouldn't refrigerate tomatoes. It deactivates flavor and aroma creating enzymes. They're never going to be the same even after they warm up.
It is unpredictable as it can also be affected by remodeling in the Earth's crust that alters the planet's mass distribution. These change the planet's rotational inertia which can speed up or slow down rotation slightly.
There's also the issue that unions are one of the major reasons that the manufacturing workplace is as mechanized as it is. One of the major efforts of unions has been to increase wages and benefits, which also increases manufacturing costs for the manufacturer. US industry has largely turned to mechanization to offset this cost increase and improve per-worker productivity.
