What's with all the anit-French ire? I say, good for them for wanting to protect their culinary history. I grew up in Europe, and have lived in the US for 16 years, and boy, do I miss the kind of "fast food" you'd get overseas. And I've been to France countless times - I've never encountered any anti-American sentiment. So I repeat, what's with all the hate?

On the topic of theories - scientific vs. common usage, I'd like to point out that in both cases, religion is just theory, as there is no proof, scientific or otherwise, that God exists. And since many (and I'm not necessarily saying this about you, Kevin George, as I have no idea what you think) people chose to believe "Intelligent" Design over evolution, citing evolution as only being a 'theory,' I'd like to point out, using said thought process, that there is zero proof that ID makes sense, since God is theoretical.

ah...Daisy is blind and looks like her back legs don't work. Making pamcakes for old doggie is sweet, but i sure hope he doesn't tease the old girl every time he makes them.

Neatorama,

Would you PLEASE stop posting stories about animals being used/abused by humans as cute or quirky? It's highly irresponsible, and it's seriously turning me off your website.

Also, high five to all you other posters who saw this story for what it is. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Small pet peeve of mine - that part is actually called "Fortuna Impeatrix Mundi," or "Fortune, Empress of the World."

Ok. I go back to my hole now.

Am I the only person who thinks that forcing an animal to do something against its nature, such as diving 40-60 feet into an abyss, an extreme in animal cruelty? Does anyone actually think that those poor horses weren't beaten into submission? Not to blame Jersey, but then again, is the same town (the Jersey Shore) that let Thomas Edison electrocute an elephant, and only a decade before...
