The 16 reactor zones are embedded inside a uranium ore deposit. If it were deliberately constructed, it somehow had to be distributed inside of buried rock. Of all the uranium ore deposits on the world, this happens to be one where a natural reactor is possible. And everything about it looks like natural rock. Sufficiently advanced aliens could of course do anything, but rather than having the satisfying and testable explanation that we have, we're left some rather big questions, and no real evidence.

Like, what was is built for? It wouldn't have been an intense power source. Wikipedia says "less than 100 kW", so enough for about 15 US homes. We know how to make more powerful reactors, or make a small solar farm for that amount of energy.

Scientists have done many tests to understand the chemical changes, including looking at the distribution of different element types. If there were any supporting infrastructure, like cooling pipes or power transmission lines, they should have left a signature, eg, increased copper concentration.

The video points out (at 3:06) that "the volume of the roadway is still sustained". Road diets are used for roads which are wider than needed for the existing flow, hence "diet". It also points out the advantages for people on the sidewalks and in the bike lanes. Same capacity, safer, improvements for people not in cars - why the hate?

After I moved to Santa Fe, I took an adult ed course in NM history. The teacher pointed out that some of the money Spain contributed to the revolution came special taxes which were collected in then Nuevo Mexico. The NM historian who dug up these documents went to the archives in Spain to find them. He started with "What do you have about the American Revolution?" Their response was, "which one?"

Related to the Dalhart distance, Key West is 432 miles away from Tallahassee, which means the capitals of Cuba (115 mi) and The Bahamas (272 mi) are closer than the state capital. Key West is also closer to British territory - the Cayman Islands are 363 miles away - and Mexico - Cancún is 406 miles away - than the state capital. Distances measured as great circle distances from airport to airport.
