Not so much Azuro. I've read about this before, and according to the zoo, he basically just went and started doing it when he arrived in the zoo.

A description off the EBRUNEWS youtube channel video regarding this bear:

"The bear, also known as Claude, lives in A-sa Zoo logical park in Hiroshima, and spends hours on his stick, twisting and twirling it.

He's been obsessed with the sticks since he arrived at the Zoo six years ago after his mother was caught in a trap and killed in the forests of Hiroshima.

Although he had let go of the sticks in the past few years, he recently picked up the habit again.

The zoo has prepared 15 sticks for Claude to play with. It's unknown whether the bear's behaviour is dysfunctional, nevertheless Claude has attracted many visitors who want to see his kung-fu exercise. "

I remember freshman year in college, I saw a buddy of mine twirling a pen. I got eager to learn it so I spent so long watching videos like this and started learning them myself. Ever since then, everytime a pen lands in my hand it just ends up getting twirled around my fingers.

Its a curse I tell you!

I agree. I for one hit the snooze button ~3-4x a morning. However, it's a pattern I've developed as a college student, to have 2 alarms. One for gradually waking me up over a period of 15 minutes or so(alarm'll sound every 5 minutes), and one loud oh-crap-purposes-only alarm, usually preventing me from oversleeping.

My ex-roommate had an alarm clock that, when it went off, it would send this helicopter-propeller flying above and out into the room, and the only way it would turn off was to find that propeller and put it back. Nifty little thing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the line-up was Pong, Tetris, Mortal Kombat (the Mortal Kombat Dragon is opposite of the viewer, look upside down to see), Zelda, and the last four are from Super Mario--the first being from the first underground stage in the first Super Mario, the second from Super Mario World, the third from the underwater stage from the first Super Mario, and last, the stage finish theme from the first Super Mario.

Cheers.
