If a homeowner prefers it then it's the polite thing to do.
We would prefer people take shoes off in our home, and most do, but we don't enforce it though since our animals have ruined the carpet :P

I made a Doctor Who baby mobile for my soon to be here nephew :D It was very easy to make and hardly cost anything. Helps that I already had some material, but even if I didn't, it wouldn't have cost more than $20 total.

We'll probably never own another cat after our current one dies. I love his fat self, but after he started pooping and peeing in random spots around the house after I got pregnant.... yeah... we're not going to risk getting another that could end up just as bad or worse.

Surprises me when people are always so shocked to hear that a goldfish got big. If kept in the right conditions they'll grow big and live for a very long time.
We have 4 in a 125g tank. They're all around a year old or less and the largest is about 7 inches long.

That's pretty neat about the old priest. Would never have guessed that it was makeup and whatnot to make him look older. Why can't they do convincing aging makeup nowadays??

Would love to have a domesticated skunk. They usually have their scent glands removed when young so they don't stink at all. There are lots of pet skunk vids on youtube :D
