The kid totally busted his parents on CNN. I'm sure it's being posted everywhere on the blogosphere. I can't believe that people want fame so badly that they would do something like this. Just sickening.
Wow, what a beautiful bird. Such a shame that they're endangered though :( Hopefully the breeding programs, will help make it common again. Hard to get a sense of its size from the photos, but the size of a turkey.... wow. That is one big pigeon!
I love how creative pumpkin carving has become. Last year I did a yoda (white pumpkin we dyed the inside green), 2 Nightmare Before Christmas ones (1 tall pumpkin w/ Jack & Sally on it, and another w/ the ghost dog), and then the last one was just a slightly more complicated than normal jack-o-lantern face.
WTH was the point in pointing out the calories. It's not like an average person is going to sit down and eat the entire bowl. Anyway, it looked disgusting. WAY too much dressing. It looked like macaroni soup in the end, bleh.
As for the woman.... Just makes me feel bad for her. She was just standing there and she had to struggle for breathe.
I had no idea that we paid farmers not to grow certain things. WTF is up with that? So if we paid fishermen not to fish... would they be able to just sit on their butts and do nothing? Pretty much giving them welfare?
I say give the fishermen some training for different jobs and perhaps even help them find one.
Just think if there was no religion. All of the violence that was done in the name of some religion.... poof gone.... probably only to be replaced with something else, but still.
