Maybe hold him, to avoid a potential mass-murder, but the handling of it was ridiculous. They could have held him and explained why. They could have maybe held off on the strip search and just put him in an isolated cell. I don't think you should treat people this crappy to get the same job done. You could still find out if there's a safety issue without treating him that way.
I would call 911, and ask them if I should break the window. That way, the call is recorded, and a person of authority could perhaps be held accountable for the instructions they gave you, regarding the legal consequences.
I stopped trusting cops when one lied about my case in court...they constantly break the law, and they are NOT above it. I'm glad they protect us, and I DO appreciate it, but they need to lead by example, and follow the law like they expect of everyone else.
I think it should be based on testing scores, period. Whoever works the hardest, gets the spot. Everything else should be blind. If it comes down to 5 or 6 students with the same score, have a lottery type scenario. "Living with the tragic legacy of slavery?" Give me a break. Just study and pass the tests, no matter who you are. Do good = get in.
I think he's panting cause he's freaked out...nothing really bad happening...he's just working' himself up and he's hot. My cats do that in the car when they're hot & nervous.
Sincerely,
lifelong multiple cat owner.
