Louise Morse's Comments

Ralph is not right when he says this counter-intuitive care doesn't 'do anything for it'. Yes it does. There's a growing body of evidence showing that a benign biochemical environment may be conducive to some neurone regeneration. The opposite holds true. When people with dementia have to go for another reason into a general hospital ward their dementia has usually worsened. No, dementia can't be cured, but good treatment can help 'hold' the individual's personality throughout - a huge blessing for both them and their families.
