Faith is an opinion. What a wonderful thing the "word of God" is, assuming that it makes people better. Faith can be an especially wonderful thing when it helps people deal with the unknown and their afterlife- As far as I'm concerned, the purpose of religion and spirituality is help humans cope with the unavoidable-death. If the purpose for the pictured Christian is to live a Christian life, then why doesn't she "do what Jesus would do". From my understanding of Christianity, Jesus never judged. What works for some doesn't work for all and I'm disgusted that I voted (albeit no on Prop 8) on a civil rights issue that should not even be up for discussion. What gives me the right to decide who two consenting adults can LOVE. Many of my gay friends are in healthier relationships than my straight friends. Being a judgemental, rightous person is a sin. Wow. I'm lucky that MY GENES happen to be straight so I don't have to deal with this abuse. Yes, ignorant folks- homosexuality is a part of one's genetic makeup and to try to live a false life is unfair to the person trying for that, and the partner they may mislead for many years.
I give major kudos to those ADULTS who stay strong, live with integrity, and ENJOY their relationships with whomever they choose.
