This makes me happy on SO many levels! And yes, friends, confusing "lose/loose", "then/than", "it's/its", etc may not be spelling mistakes exactly, but they're certainly grammar mistakes. So it can't hurt to learn them! Now what drives me insane is when people use apostrophes to pluralize words. You don't need an apostrophe, people, just an "s"!!!

Ukranians now like their country to be called "Ukraine" without the article, as the old form has some nasty Stalinist associations.

Ted, I agree - the dog is just well-trained. People underestimate the importance of discipline in a dog's life.

I think the dog would have followed him out through the doorway, but he didn't give her a chance.

That's not a dumb dog. That's a well-trained dog. Even with the glass out, she waited until she was allowed out the door.
