I heard early settlers named Greenland greenland because it Wasn't GREEN and IceLand because it was wonderful... to keep would be explorers less interested in the nice IceLand... Let them go to GreenLand... joke on them kinda thing... I don't have any facts, just someone told me that.

Maybe naming it Greenland will be Prophetic.
