Excellent analysis. After blogging for coming up on 5 years I have experienced this exact sequence of events and there's no way my blog is as funny/interesting/fun as it once was and that I don't exist in a community as I once did ... and I've ceased to care. Maybe it's because Facebook has filled that niche for me.
