Leg cramps can be treated/prevented by simply keeping up on your potassium and calcium levels. That is something I learned early on in food service. Munch on the occasional Tums tablet, eat bananas regularly and back off on the coffee.
One of the chefs I worked for had a bowl of bananas in the kitchen--too spotted to serve-- not brown enough for banana bread. His rule? Help yourself to a banana a shift.

Want to spend less than 6 months curing toenail fungus? One of the best anti funguals around is something called Gentian Violet. It works almost immediately and on almost all fungi. Only downside? It is a highly staining bright purple. If you don't mind purple toes for a week this is more efffective than Vicks. And it costs about $2 for a bottle thta will last for years.

There are several types of wood that has this feature--mostly species of the Yew. Yew is the wood of choice for traditional longbow making because of the different properties of the wood. The heartwood resists compression and the sapwood resists expansion. So the bows are constructed with the darker heartwood on the inside of the bow while the lighter sapwood is on the outside. Thousands of men armed with Yew longbows changed the course of history. Remember Henry V at Agincourt?
Wow! Those are Scots pine logs? They're not one of those trees with the deliniated heartwood/sapwood. And I just noticed the colors are reversed. Heartwood is darker than sapwood. Those trees are all messed up
I wonder if there has been a change in the wood's reaction to compression and expansion?

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Maybe something you might see on a cruise ship. The Carnival Norovirus Cocktail.

(NH4)2Cr2O7 is Ammonium dichromate which is sometimes called "Vesuvian Fire" as it was commonly used to simulate a volcanic eruption. I remember building ing a plaster of paris volcano model and making it erupt in my 6th grade class (circa 1967--yeah, I'm old)
The other compound is Mercury(II) thiocyanate (Hg(SCN)2) AKA "Pharoah's Serpent" It used to be used in fireworks because of its black-snake effect. However, it isn't readily available anymore because it is toxic.

After repeating that old joke where Nefertiti says "Not tonight, It's my pyramid." one too many times, the other statues gave him a time out.

The description of Twin Peaks' location as given by Agent Cooper put it near the Idaho border. The nearest real town would be Metaline Falls, WA, which is almost exactly where he marked.

Looks great, but I wouldn't want to live there. I like to throw stones for a hobby.

There were quite a few Revolutionary War Vets that lived well into the photographic age. Here is a link to several more: http://www.americanrevolution.org/lastmen.html

"with a single nipple." I think you mean cap. The percussion cap which ignites the powder fits on the nipple.

There is a reason this is classified as a "fantasy blade." There is no way it would be effective or safe in the real world. It is a replica of a cartoon weapon. The thin piece of stainless steel (anodized black--or not--it is still brittle) will bend permanently (at best) or snap into pieces (at worst) The "high-tech strap" is a piece of Velcro. The cut outs on the blade will further weaken it. And why in gods name would one want to strap a blade to his forearm making it capable of only two attack/defense motions?
