As a web designer, let me throw my two cents in quickly:

If it works...it works.

CSS is far greater than tables for PAGE positioning but a quick grid INSIDE a page layout? Hit it up with tables, yo. Get over yourself and your faux "better than thou" standards.

I'm a designer and a programmer. I'm very well aware that the end result to the average user is what matters. The CSS disc jockeys are deluding themselves.

Tell you what: get Internet Explorer to adhere to the standards and THEN we'll talk about what's better than what.

I've got THX-1138 on VHS tape. It's ridiculously boring but astoundingly poignant and powerful - really quite masterful. But it's no simple thrill ride.

Ummm....NO. They took a huge business risk and bartered their home that it would pay off. Has nothing to do with the housing industry. One could potentially argue that it was the constraints on the *construction* industry that contributed to their business venture failing, but NOT at all by way of them being *forced* beyond their means by the housing market. They were just either greedy or poor planners.

That's cool. I love when stories of these forgotten urban secrets pop up - like the tunnels under Rochester.
