I'd find these everywhere in Philadelphia. Other markers said other things, but the basic concept is the same. They're often found in the middle of the crosswalk at an intersection. Repeated driving over the marker slowly embeds it into the asphalt. I've seen a few that were more than 8 years old... ones that I saw when I visited before moving to Philly 7 years ago.
