Hi All;

I had my own little (little)? "Fat~Kitty" as my niece would call him... His name was Amos, and he had to be put to sleep last July. He was a whopper as an adult, and got sick about 2 years ago. He lost almost 75% of his weight after falling ill. But prior to having renal and lung problems, he was always active and fast; even with his massive body. Mice and birds did not stand a chance. Wish there was a place to include his picture on here...

I think, much like us humanoids, many cats are just prone to be 'ahem', larger, than others. He was neutered as a young cat. But his 'uncle' was not. They were both huge kittys! And are both now waiting for us at that "Rainbow Bridge"

When he was put to sleep, he was 13 years old. Not a bad life for a fat cat!

XOXO
Anne

Note to 56 Rob, and 45 Michelle...

Please do not intentionally hurt a cat (or any animal) this way. That would be a terrible, (and an absolutely unforgiveable), cruelty imposed upon the poor cat.
Our cat was fat. We did nothing to encourage this, and even when he 'dieted' he would just catch more birds/mice to make up for those calories. This was his own genetic make~up, and to try to impose this on a cat whose DNA does not support this would be an absolute sin, and would only make the animal suffer needlessly.
