"... a high-tech tent that permits him/her to talk..." -- now that's a cool showdown between logic and PC.

Here's the thing: (1) there has never been a lady president so far; (2) the thing that you're reporting on (the high-tech tent) is something that you can only report in a past/present tense (that is unless you have it on good authority that they'll be using this specific high-tech tent for future presidents as well, which you certainly don't). So, logic dictates you should use "him". PC however seems to have won the day, even against such a mighty opponent. Well done, PC, you're becoming stronger by the day!

I eagerly await the day when you will replace content altogether with meaningless, but politically righteous jibber jabber.

@eddyslick, have you watched it until the end? If you haven't, I assure you the sarcasm was well-deserved. If you have seen it all and still believe that workmaship should be treated with respect then one has to wonder who's being passive-aggressive here...

@mentalcrud, it's adding portability, if you're thinking about the big touchpads, or usability/control, if you're thinking about the small ones. It adds extra options, as compared to a small mouse (rotate, zoom and other gestures).

Having said that, I fear it's going to be horribly expensive, awkward and unreliable (and the latter two points will lead to a constantly high price point). Not to mention MrPumpernickel's rant, which I completely agree with.

I have a cell phone, don't have an alarm clock (the cell phone is doing that job neatly), but I don't see myself giving up my wristwatch. And I own a simple piezoelectric Timex which only shows the time of day, day of week and day of month -- so it's not about status symbols or extra functions. Although I'm almost always surrounded by clocks of all sorts (cell phone, car, home, computer), I have to look for those -- in contrast, I always know where my wrist is, without fail.

Wow, now that's art! Writing text in matches -- such a powerful emotional message. But wait, it's not just any text: of all the possible choices out there, she chose to spell "Love" in matches. Not just any word -- no, "Love" specifically. Whoa! Wait, what?
