This is very important and original research, and I hope that your project gets funded. I would like to suggest a slightly broader scope, however: I have also noticed that cars tend to break down at an alarmingly high rate just before exams. Whether this is due to the fancy electronics in modern cars being too sensitive to the driver's state of mind, or some even stranger phenomenon, it is clearly beyond what science can currently explain. Perhaps your research can shed some light on this entire problem complex, not just one isolated phenomenon.
