For most Americans, Walt Disney would have been the popularizer of these two false sources of nursery rhymes in the cartoon "The Truth About Mother Goose" shown in theaters and on his TV show, "The Wonderful World of Color."

I agree absolutely. Batman's villains need to be portrayed as psychotic anarchists because that is how plutocrats interpret all threats to the obedient social order.
This same issue might apply equally to James Bond, except he is merely the thug of a plutocratic England, not the plutocrat himself on a spree.

Everyone who has seen "2001: A Space Odyssey" has heard Bulgarian choral music. Lygeti's "Requiem" and "Lux Æternæ" are the motives of the aliens. Since that time Bulgarian choir music has been used most often in movies to indicate aliens, but here it indicates more an "otherworldly" motif.

When umbrellas were illegal in 17th century England (because rain was god's will) citizens took to wearing extra large-brimmed hats. In fair weather, the brims were rolled up, transforming themselves into the three-cornered hats of the 18th century.

The JFK assassination has an obvious, partial solution. It involves not Lee Harvey Oswald, but the mob and the John Birch Society -- who are connected through Clint Murchison, J. Edgar Hoover, and the CIA. For the details see my webpage at:

This film is an important historical document in that it explains to the public strategies then current for confronting the Axis powers. Its imagery was propaganda, but there was a strategic logic to the substance of the film -- a quality in declining appearance for the propaganda following WWII.

We could determine what things are "worth" if we were to do a thermodynamic analysis of what is involved in making or getting those things. Unfortunately it would reveal that profits are physically impossible and that they can only be obtained by victimizing others. Law determines who can be victimized and to what extent, making government a tool of class oppression.

To those who would wish to understand Dali, read his 1936 book "My Secret Life." I have read a number of his books, but they are all taken from that original work.
At the end of his life, he abandoned his art dealer of many years in pursuit of more money. His new dealer, however, was a swindler who used Dali's signature to create phony works, among other things, and ended up taking the artist's fortune which is why he moved into his museum. At last at the end, he regretted being "the Dali."
