Big difference between Soviet and USA programs: the Soviets were silent, and USA put out everything for the world to see, including our failures. An engineer friend of ours who worked in the Space Program from North American Rockwell told us decades ago that the Soviets sent men into space who never returned, (failed missions) but they would never reveal this. I wonder if there is some proof of this in documents either in the USA or Russia?
