Whether one thinks this is Neat or not Neat, one can't pretend to speak for everyone or be 'objective' when you say "definitely not Neat". Just say "I think this is not Neat."
I would also hope that reasonable people would take something as fact if it was based on scientific research and evidence, instead of relying on the visceral or bigoted tendencies, or taking words literally and out of context from some manuscript written hundreds of years ago and making unprovable claims.
Science is not a monolithic entity. Out of millions of scientists on earth, some will work on problems like this. It would be unfulfilling and unproductive (if not devastating) for all scientists to spend the rest of their careers working on a single problem, such as finding a cure for cancer. Without the division of labor and diversity, society would grind to a halt.
Did not sound right that "What researcher were looking for was any chemical that was similar to the P2X7 receptor that blocks ATP". Makes more sense if the chemical was similar to the MOLECULE that BINDS with the receptor. But yeah, discovery seems cool.
Eh, any proof that he was telling lies? Is it like people who hate Obama's policies, just because of his party affiliation, skin color, or reaching out to other religions?
Yeah, I strongly suspect that older white males would go for Sinatra (completely understable). But objectively assessing and considering the size of the crowds that attend MJ's concerts, his quirks, his style, his songwriting and dancing abilities, MJ is more iconic. But Elvis and Sinatra are also up there.
I'm in my 30s, non-european, and in my opinion, the whole world would probably say MJ, followed closely by Elvis, then Sinatra. When it comes to skills, its like comparing apples with oranges.
He wasn't convicted, so no one really knows. Also, the holocaust did happen, evolution is true, Americans did go to the moon, Obama is American, and Bush is not dumb (but not a good speaker and probably did not value learning).
He was not convicted, so by law, he is innocent (until proven guilty). However, because of certain undeniable circumstances, such as settling out of court, these facts mean that we can reasonably have either a good or bad opinion of him. Many people admire him for various reasons (body of work, talent, style, barriers he broke) and it doesn't seem right to keep reminding them of unproven allegations.
