I thought The Giver was really good if that counts as a Sci-Fi, and should have been on the list. My wife and I got into a debate on some of the themes. It is a very thought-provoking book about memories and pain.
I'm sure he could have found the needed rupees in the bushes, rocks, or trees around the hotel. Or if he looked long enough, found the boiled eggs in a wooded chest somewhere for free.
Harrison Ford's FaceApp pic looks more like Lloyd Bridges than an older version of Ford. The app doesn't seem to get the eyes right for everyone else. The real versions have more squinty eyes.
Someone did a remake called "Rat Race" that is funny as well with great casting. Lots of modern cameos and great scenes. Love John Cleese and John Lovitz in it. Both movies have similar elements, the same spirit, and are both enjoyable to watch. IAMMMMW might have a slight lead since it is the original.
